v0.9 is Coming Soon

So remember that roadmap I posted? I haven't strayed too far from its projections... or, rather, I've begun grossly overshooting it. There are many, many things in the pipeline now, from an elaborate post-game, to reworked graphical presentation, a lot is changing. Battle animations, thanks to the help of @Amalia19_lia, have drastically improved and should make in-game battles look a ton more flashy. The general aim is to give off that feel of early 2000s era battle animations. As well, @Amraphenson has been hard at work retooling the portraits and putting them up to the standard that I would expect from a game that I'm going to be selling soon.

No worries, there will still be a demo soon. It'll be free, of course. It'll only go up to chapter 12 and will lack the challenge maps of old, but it will still be available to anyone who wants to give the game a shot before deciding to commit to purchasing it. My idea now is to release a purchasable full game once both my artists have finished their jobs, of which, Amalia is about 80% done and Amra is roughly 60%. It'll be a bit still, and I'll miss my target deadline of end of summer, to be sure, but it'll be worth it. The game, initially, will come out in a bit of early access--it'll be missing the final chapter, some post-game content and support conversations. These will all come in later updates. This initial version I'll probably be selling for about $4~6, depending. When I release the update that will contain the final chapter and post-game content, I'll be raising the price to about $7~9. This will help pay off the costs of all the art I've shoved into the game thus far.

If you haven't already, keep up with my twitter at @SchwerMuta for smaller scale updates on what you can expect in the final game. I'll be uploading previews every Saturday from now on so check back there every time to see. When the demo is ready for release, you'll see it here, and hopefully it'll be the much more polished game you can expect from us in the future.
